On Jan. 23, 2026 Lagos filed a trademark infringement lawsuit, claiming Coastal Caviar’s use of the word "Caviar" violated Lagos’s federally registered "Caviar" mark from 1992. Lagos sought to block the name and seek damages; Coastal Caviar had launched in December 2023 and filed a trademark application in 2024 that the USPTO refused because of Lagos’s prior registration.
